With the desire to contribute to Vietnam’s growth, the VAS Group has established the "VAS – Vietnam Advance Spirit" Scholarship Fund to accompany and assist the “green shoots” of the future and give wings to the intellectual dreams so that the young Viet generations may thrive and shine.
The Scholarship Fund carries the VAS spirit – more than just a spiritual gift
Education has always been preserved and cultivated throughout history. In any given era, the Vietnamese people have always appreciated the intellectual beauty that reflects their cultural heritage. Following this noble tradition, VAS Group aims to foster intellectual values that inspire the younger generations.
With its Mind set on all of its activities, each step that the Group takes carries with it the VAS spirit – as a form of gratitude to the community and the country that have accompanied the business in the past quarter–century. In 2017, the "VAS – Vietnam Advance Spirit" Scholarship Fund was founded and incorporated within it the VAS brand name – Vietnam Advance Spirit. The Scholarship Fund operates independently from the Group and does not raise capital from any organization or individual.
The "VAS – Vietnam Advance Spirit" Scholarship Fund holds within it the emotions and compassion of the VAS Group Board of Management for the young, studious Vietnamese who unfortunately face financial constraints, facilitates them in covering tuition and living expenses throughout their courses, and reassures them in pursuing intellectual heights.

All development, no matter big or small, stems from the Heart and Mind, thus the VAS Group Board of Management readily takes the time to listen to the stories of the youth. The hearted exchanges and instructions from the “elders” ignite the flame and provide the youth with insights that help them to carve out their path more clearly. No challenges can stop intellectuals in its tracks if we are determined and strong–willed, just as the VAS Group has steadily developed throughout the past 25 years.
With the timely assistance from the "VAS – Vietnam Advance Spirit" Fund, Trinh Mai Truong Thinh, alumni of the Food Technology major [Chemical Tech Faculty, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – Vietnam National University], has graduated in time and in excellence – the Talented Engineers Program. Truong Thinh stated that: “The Scholarship has truly been a great source of encouragement that fueled my determination, faith, and hard–work on the path to realizing my dreams.” Thinh is now the Product Development Staff [R&D] at the Cholimex Food JSC and strives to gain financial expertise to pursue higher education.
The "VAS – Vietnam Advance Spirit" Scholarship Fund has given wings to the intellectual dreams of nearly 70 students, helped them to overcome adversities, and became the source of inspiration and energy for the young generations to believe in themselves, dare to think, act, and incubate the desire to grow and unceasingly charge ahead.
The Fund’s operations also contribute positively to the training of quality future human resources for the motherland, promotion of traditions, and permeation of the studious spirit in the Vietnamese student community. This is also VAS’ way of sharing responsibilities with the community in the past 5 years. VAS hopes that our youth will have the strength to overcome adversities, shine bright on their intellectual journey, and become outstanding civilians that devote themselves to the country and contribute to the future development of Vietnam.

The "VAS – Vietnam Advance Spirit" Scholarship Fund places students at its core with an aim to create maximum values for recipients by offering diverse scholarships: basic, comprehensive, and supplementary donation of school equipment.
Programs in the "VAS – Vietnam Advance Spirit" Scholarship Fund
More than any conventional student assistance fund, each scholarship given marks the beginning of a loving journey shared between the donor and the recipient. In addition to awarding scholarships, the "VAS – Vietnam Advance Spirit" Scholarship Fund also cares and provides career orientation in the journey to opening up futures for the youth as well as assists in introducing and providing opportunities for graduates to intern at the Group itself or at VAS partner firms.
The Fund has offered useful books to help students broaden their views on life, eliminate regrets and doubts within them, and have the drive to overcome challenges. Thanks to the encouragement and cheering from their seniors at the VAS Fund, the youths are inspired to excel in school, enhance their internal strengths, and believe in their ability to sketch out a bright future for themselves. Suffice it to say, the VAS Scholarship Fund is the symbol of affectionate commitments between the donor and the recipient in pursuit of humane values.
By now, 17 students have completed their courses in excellence and embarked on the path to building their future with strong intellectual foundations and becoming the mainstay of their families. Notably, Tran Tien Dung and Nguyen Thi Mai – two young students that matured from the "VAS – Vietnam Advance Spirit" Scholarship Fund [graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City] have become doctors and contribute to the nation’s healthcare works and serve their communities.

The VAS Group also takes special interests in supporting and encouraging children of its employees who excel in school. Gifts of studious encouragement and scholarships for these students are both the encouragement and the representation of gratitude from VAS to the people who are striving and contributing to the common desire of expanding the Viet steel brand to the world.
Looking ahead, the VAS Group will continue to sustain the "VAS – Vietnam Advance Spirit" Scholarship Fund while further diversifying and expanding the scale of scholarships to give wings for Viet talents to reach their intellectual conquest dreams. The long-term accompanying by the "VAS – Vietnam Advance Spirit" Scholarship Fund is the very commitment of the VAS Group on the continuation and inheritance of enduring values, promotion of wisdom of future generations, and incubation of great values to enrich the country, contribute resources to the community and country in the course of elevating Viet values.
