Nghi Son Iron and Steel Corporation [representative of VAS] has actively contributed to the prevention and control of pandemics across the country since the 4th of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.
Through the creation of plans and coordination with the Fatherland Front Committees, the Local Quick Response Teams to provide necessities, medical equipment, and oxygen tanks, etc to disadvantaged households, and the frontline force to prevent epidemics in the provinces | Cities: Thanh Hoa, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City with a total budget of more than 20 billion Vietnam dong until September 11th, 2021.
There are two Phases to providing support:
- Phase 1 from July 17th to July 28th, 2021: 1,3 billion Vienam dong
Workers' Hostels and Freelance Workers in the Districts | In Ho Chi Minh City where had a significant impact by the pandemic such as: Go Vap, Nha Be, Cu Chi, Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, District 7, Phu Nhuan, Tan Phu, … are the focus of VAS.
- Phase 2 from August 01st to September 11th 2021: 19 billion Vietnam dong
Besides supplying basics [rice, spices, veggies, eggs] for lockdown regions, VAS also offered medical supplies to field hospitals in District 11, District 1, and District 3. Moreover, Orphans raising centers in Thu Duc City, District 8 are provided with milk, masks, hand sanitizer, vitamins, and other necessities on a timely basis.
In Thanh Hoa, VAS also accompanied the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund.
VAS continues to extend the distribution of needs and help people in the provinces of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Duong, and Dong Nai at a time when the pandemic was raging in the southern regions.
Until now, the city authorities. Ho Chi Minh City, as well as the southern regions, have laid out plans for a phased economic recovery.
The peak of pandemic has also gradually passed, but kindness will always remain because the loving and sharing for the community during difficult times is the motivation for VAS members to work together to overcome difficulties.
